Noise Complaint

If the neighbors haven't complained, you're doing it wrong. The heavier end of Soundboard: metal, hard rock, aggressive alternative and anything best played irresponsibly loud.

Lyrics

April 2, 2026

(Verse 1)
They preach forgiveness while the wolves still roam
Tell me mercy’s holy, and I’m the one made of stone
They twist every warning into hate and shame
Call me the monster for wanting evil to feel the flame

(Pre-Chorus)
They let the darkness walk
They dress it up in rights
They smile at the slaughter
And call it being polite

(Chorus)
Call me the bad guy, I’ll wear the name with pride
I want the wicked broken, I want them terrified
I want the good to sleep sound at night
I want the evil to pay for every life they blight
Hate me, curse me, spit in my face
I’ll stand unbowed in this forsaken place
No apology, no bending the knee
If wanting real justice makes an enemy of me
Then I’m the bad guy

(Verse 2)
They water down the truth till it’s weak and it’s thin
Protect the guilty, crucify the ones who call out sin
They trade safety for slogans, order for applause
While the decent bleed quietly behind closed doors

(Pre-Chorus)
They scream that I’m the problem
For refusing to play pretend
For saying some things are evil
And some things need to end

(Bridge)
I’ll be the villain in their sanitized dream
I’ll carry the weight so the rest don’t scream
I don’t need their love, I don’t need their grace
I just need the darkness to know its fucking place
If that makes me evil, then evil I’ll be
At least the world’s safer when they’re afraid of me

(Final Chorus)
Call me the bad guy! I’ll wear the name with pride
I want the wicked broken, I want them terrified
I want the good to sleep sound at night
I want the evil to pay for every life blight
Hate me, curse me, spit in my face
I’ll stand right here in this forsaken place
No apology, no bending the knee
If wanting real justice makes an enemy of me
Then I’m the bad guy
Then I’m the bad guy
Then I’m the bad guy

(Outro)
I’ll be the bad guy…
