Training is a paid attempt

Training an eligible active-roster NPC player costs that player 50 Energy and the team $50,000. The costs are paid even if the attempt fails. Training is available only in an active season and to the team owner.

Difficulty scales with current strength

Each regimen calculates a weighted average of the skills it can improve. Success chance falls by 0.6 percentage points for every point in that average, with a minimum of 15% and maximum of 75%. This makes developing elite players intentionally harder.

A successful regimen chooses one skill

On success, one listed skill gains 1 point. The same regimen weights determine which skill is selected, so the headline skill is most likely but not guaranteed.

How results are calculated

These rules come from the game calculation. Live market values and event-specific settings can still change the final result where noted.

Training success

Rule

Success chance = 75% − 0.6 × regimen-weighted skill average, clamped to 15%–75%.

  • Weight room: 55% Performance, 35% Resilience, 10% Leadership.
  • Position drills: 55% Technical Proficiency, 35% Performance, 10% Creativity.
  • Film: 60% Analytical Ability, 25% Communication, 15% Technical Proficiency.
  • 7-on-7: 35% Communication, 30% Creativity, 25% Performance, 10% Networking.
  • Bonding: 35% Communication, 30% Networking, 20% Leadership, 15% Charisma.
  • Playbook: 45% Analytical Ability, 35% Communication, 20% Leadership.

Worked example

A regimen-weighted average of 50 gives a 45% success chance. An average of 90 calculates to 21%. On success, exactly one regimen skill gains 1 point.
