Ewing Oil and Gas will hold a community outreach event in The Woodlands to promote the benefits of gas heat. Scheduled for a non-holiday Monday evening, the event will focus on the advantages of gas heating over electric heating in Texas, particularly during occasional extreme cold snaps and power outages (e.g., after hurricanes).

Attendees will learn about the risks associated with ERCOT energy contracts compared to gas contracts. Ewing Oil and Gas will also offer promotional contracts with fixed rates to encourage customers to convert.

The event will be available both in-person and online, with advance sign-ups managed through the company website and via phone. Participants will receive a detailed analysis of their likely home energy use and how a gas hookup, even if rarely utilized, could help limit exposure to power price spikes in the deregulated Texas power market, especially when paired with a gas generator.
