First Responder Family Day
Published
FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — White Star Chemical will host a free First Responder Family Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Great Lawn at City Center Park, 210 Stonewall Avenue West. The downtown park has walking paths, a playground, and nearby eateries, and is already used for public gatherings. White Star’s Fayetteville office is sponsoring and hosting the event.
The afternoon is a thank-you, not a plant tour, and will include no company product displays.
The day honors people who work in emergency services and the families who wait up with them: police officers, firefighters, paramedics and EMTs, dispatchers, chaplains, and others who take those calls. Their households are especially invited, and neighbors are welcome too. Admission is free, and guests may come and go. White Star will provide complimentary bottled water at marked stations.
What to Expect
A short public recognition, about 10 to 15 minutes, will begin at 1:15 p.m. Remarks will be brief and civic. No one will be required to speak or stand in formation. Afterward, the lawn returns to an ordinary family afternoon.
Activities will include bounce houses in a roped play zone, a short obstacle course for children and mixed-age teams, cornhole, and face painting. Local civic groups, churches, and youth organizations may staff booths with crafts or simple games. A shade tent with chairs will be reserved for older guests, small children, and anyone who wants out of the sun. Light background music is planned if the city permit allows.
Parents remain responsible for children on inflatables and the obstacle course. Volunteers will reset games and direct families to water, restrooms, and the truck line.
Food
Food trucks will sell treats and drinks rather than a sit-down meal: ice cream, snow cones, cookies, popcorn, lemonade, and specialty drinks. Vendors will stage in a marked line so paths and emergency access remain clear.

Why It Landed This Way
A strong, credible local event: it names a real public-facing venue, gives practical timing and access details, offers family-friendly programming, and keeps the recognition brief rather than promotional. The focus on first responders and their families fits a community-minded sponsor role. Public attention will likely be positive but mostly local; confirmed department participation, vendors, and permits would strengthen turnout and coverage.
What Players Should Expect
This event gives the business its strongest bump during the first 24 hours, followed by a smaller lingering boost for the next few days.
