Arkansas Cost-of-Living Relief and Price Transparency Act

Be it enacted by the State of Arkansas that, for a period of twelve months beginning July 1 following enactment, the state sales tax on groceries shall be reduced by 1 percentage point, annual passenger vehicle registration fees shall be reduced by 15 percent, and the Public Service Commission, in coordination with the Attorney General, shall conduct enhanced review of regulated utility rate adjustments and require clear public reporting on fuel, supply, and other inflation-related cost pass-throughs; the Attorney General shall also establish a grocery price transparency and consumer complaint process to identify unlawful or deceptive pricing practices, with implementation subject to available appropriations and existing enforcement authority.
