Full text

A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code and related federal housing programs to expand and better target tax incentives, loan guarantees, and competitive grants for the development and preservation of workforce housing in high-cost mountain and rural communities, including fast-growing Western states; to prioritize projects near job centers, schools, and essential services; to support infrastructure and site-preparation needs that raise construction costs in these regions; and to encourage public-private partnerships that increase housing supply for teachers, nurses, first responders, service workers, and other middle-income residents as a practical response to rising cost-of-living pressures.
