Full text

This bill would establish a bipartisan federal grant program administered by the Environmental Protection Agency to help drought-prone communities repair aging drinking-water and wastewater systems, reduce leaks, expand water recycling and conservation projects, and improve reliable access to safe water. Grants would prioritize projects serving disadvantaged communities and municipalities with documented water-supply risks, require nonfederal cost-sharing with hardship waivers, and encourage regional coordination, transparent reporting, and measurable improvements in water efficiency and system reliability.
