Safer Communities and Fentanyl Interdiction Act

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, that the Attorney General, in coordination with the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall expand federal support for fentanyl interdiction efforts, including grants for laboratory capacity, intelligence sharing, and joint operations targeting trafficking networks; establish and support repeat violent offender task forces with state and local law enforcement focused on the lawful apprehension and prosecution of chronic violent offenders; and administer competitive grants for data-driven local crime reduction partnerships among law enforcement, prosecutors, courts, and community service providers, conditioned on public reporting of outcomes, use-of-funds disclosures, and compliance with civil rights and transparency standards.
