Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, that this Act shall strengthen federal ethics and anti-corruption safeguards by requiring senior executive branch officials, Members of Congress, and federally appointed agency heads to file more frequent and detailed public financial disclosures, including significant gifts, outside income, and potential conflicts of interest; establishing fixed-term protections and budget transparency requirements for Inspectors General to reinforce their independence; mandating prompt public reporting of official contacts involving prospective federal contracts or regulatory actions; and increasing civil and criminal penalties for any federal official who knowingly uses public office for undisclosed private financial benefit, obstructs ethics investigations, or falsifies required disclosures.
