Louisiana Border Security and Legal Workforce Coordination Act

This Act directs the Department of Homeland Security to expand voluntary cooperation agreements with eligible Louisiana law-enforcement agencies under section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, subject to federal training, civil-rights protections, and public reporting requirements, and authorizes targeted grants for immigration-data sharing, detention coordination, and personnel training. It also requires DHS and the Department of Labor to establish an expedited, fraud-resistant process for temporary work authorization and employer certification in Louisiana industries experiencing documented labor shortages, while preserving federal oversight, wage protections, and due-process rights.
