Full text

This bill would establish competitive grants through the Department of Justice for state, local, and tribal law-enforcement agencies to implement evidence-based training in de-escalation, crisis response, procedural justice, and constitutional policing, and to develop community-policing partnerships with local organizations and residents. Grant recipients would submit annual reports on training completion, program implementation, and measurable public-safety and community-trust outcomes, while protecting personally identifiable information and allowing federal audits to ensure funds are used for their intended purposes.
