A bill to strengthen orderly legal immigration and protect American workers by directing the Department of Homeland Security to deploy additional border surveillance technology, increase Customs and Border Protection staffing and processing capacity at high-risk crossings, and improve interagency coordination against trafficking and unlawful entry; to phase in mandatory nationwide E-Verify use for employers with reasonable compliance support and penalties for repeated knowing violations; and to provide targeted oversight, reporting, and safeguards to ensure effective enforcement, timely legal processing, and minimal burden on lawful commerce and agriculture.
