A bill to strengthen border security and protect lawful employment by appropriating targeted funds for advanced surveillance, sensor, and communications technology along high-traffic border corridors, increasing staffing and inspection capacity at ports of entry to interdict narcotics and unlawful crossings more efficiently, and requiring the phased nationwide use of E-Verify for new hires by covered employers, with civil penalties for knowing noncompliance, safe-harbor protections for good-faith users, and implementation support for small businesses, in order to promote orderly immigration enforcement and safeguard jobs for American workers, including in Arkansas.
