Hello, Davenport! It’s wonderful to be here in Scott County, where the Mississippi River flows strong, and so do the values that make this state—and our country—great.
As I stand here today, I see so many hardworking Iowans who are fed up with business as usual in Washington. You’ve worked hard to build businesses, raise families, and support your communities. But what have you gotten in return? A government that’s too big, too intrusive, and too disconnected from the lives of the people it’s supposed to serve.
I’m running for President because I believe it’s time for real change. It’s time for a government that works for the people, not against them. And that starts by putting power back where it belongs—in the hands of the American people.
In Scott County, you understand the importance of economic freedom. You know that it’s not government programs that create jobs—it’s you, the business owners and workers, who drive this economy forward. As President, I will cut taxes, eliminate burdensome regulations, and unleash the power of free enterprise.
And let’s not forget that jobs are the lifeblood of this community. You deserve a President who understands that good-paying jobs don’t come from government intervention—they come from creating the right conditions for businesses to grow and thrive. I will fight to make sure that American businesses can compete on the world stage, and that American workers have the opportunities they deserve.
But economic freedom isn’t enough. We must also defend the constitutional rights that make this country the land of the free. The Second Amendment, freedom of speech, freedom of religion—these aren’t negotiable. They are the bedrock of our democracy. As President, I will protect your rights and make sure Washington never forgets that it answers to you, the people.
And finally, I want to talk about integrity. Too often, politicians in Washington play by their own rules, ignoring the will of the people and the laws of our land. That’s not how I lead. I believe in honesty, transparency, and holding our leaders accountable to the people they serve.
So, Scott County, I’m asking for your support. Together, we can bring real leadership to Washington, leadership that fights for freedom, economic opportunity, and the values that make America strong. Thank you, and may God bless Scott County and the United States of America!
