  • Michael Madison for MO Rally in Springfield

Ladies and Gentlemen of Missouri, I'm Michael Madison, and I'm here to defend the heart of our state and the soul of our nation.

We've seen our borders overwhelmed, not just by a few seeking a better life, but by a giant flood of illegal immigrants and dangerous drugs that threatens our sovereignty. I stand for a secure border, not just with words, but with action. We need policies that prioritize merit-based legal immigration, where those who wish to join us do so through the front door, respecting our laws. Those who come here should build our communities up, contributing innovation while assimilating rapidly into American culture by learning our language, history, and customs. The current problems we face with gangs, crime, overburdened public services, and strained community relations speak for themselves. What we have right now does not work, and we should want to change it so that it does, accusations of an -ism or a -phobia be damned!

Now, Missourians know the value of a hard-earned dollar. I'm committed to reducing your tax burden because it's your money, not the government's. We need tax policies that encourage investment, growth, and savings, not policies that drain your wallets for bloated government programs. Let's take Missouri common-sense and make it a beacon for business and prosperity at the national level.

Here in Missouri, we're blessed with resources that can power not just our state but our nation. I advocate for energy independence through the development of our natural resources, including oil, gas, and nuclear, alongside renewable options where they are appropriate. This isn't about denying science or promoting pollution; it's about realistic solutions that don't cripple our economy. We need an all-of-the-above energy strategy that ensures jobs for everyday Missourians and energy security for all Americans.

The Second Amendment isn't just about hunting or sport; it's about freedom and your capacity to defend yourself and your family. I stand firmly against any infringement on our right to bear arms. We've seen time and again, in places like Chicago and New York, that more laws don't mean less crime. What we need is enforcement of existing laws, mental health support, and community policing, not the stripping of rights from law-abiding citizens.

Folks, these issues aren't just policy points; they're about preserving the American Dream right here in Missouri. We're not just another state; we're the heartland, the backbone of this great nation. I'm here to fight for policies that reflect our values: freedom, responsibility, and opportunity. Let's work together to make our country not just a place to live, but a place to thrive, where every citizen feels the pride of being part of something greater. Thank you, and God bless Missouri, and God bless the United States of America.
