Good evening, Falls Church!
It’s an honor to be with you tonight as we stand at a pivotal moment for our Commonwealth. Our future is bright, but it’s going to take strong, steady handed leadership as well as a commitment to lifting up every Virginian to get us where we need to be. I’m running for Governor because I believe in a vision of Virginia that works for all of us — not just the few, but every family, every worker, every child.
Economic growth and opportunity are at the heart of this vision. I believe in a Virginia where everyone has the chance to succeed. That means creating good-paying jobs, investing in our small businesses, and building an economy that works for all Virginians — whether you live here in Falls Church or way down in Lee County. We need to support innovation and entrepreneurship, foster job training programs to prepare our workforce for the jobs of tomorrow, and cut unnecessary red tape so that businesses can thrive and expand right here in Virginia.
Nothing is more important to the future of our Commonwealth than education. Our public schools are the cornerstone of our communities, and we must ensure that every child — no matter where they live — has access to a high-quality education. That’s why I’m committed to investing in our public schools, supporting our teachers, and modernizing our classrooms.
We need to make sure our students have the tools they need to succeed in a competitive, global economy. That means more funding for STEM programs, vocational training, and technology in the classroom. But it also means supporting our teachers — the heroes who work tirelessly every day to prepare the next generation. We will pay them what they deserve and give them the resources they need to do their jobs.
In rural and underserved areas, we must ensure schools are properly funded and that students have access to the same opportunities as those in wealthier districts. Every child, no matter where they live or their background, deserves the chance to succeed. That’s a promise I’ll keep as your Governor.
But the only way we can build this future is through bipartisanship. Now more than ever, we need leaders who can bring people together, not tear them apart. Our challenges are too big to be solved by just one party. As your Governor, I will work with Republicans, Democrats, and independents alike to find solutions that work for all of us. We may not always agree on every issue, but I promise to listen, to seek common ground, and to find practical, common-sense solutions that serve the people of Virginia.
Whether we’re talking about growing our economy, fixing our infrastructure, or investing in education, we all want the same thing: a stronger, better future for Virginia. Let’s stop the partisan bickering and get to work on the issues that really matter to our communities! Thank you! Thank you very much!
