  • Thank you for being here today. I’m Dr. Felicia Brooks, and I’m running to be your next U.S. Senator because I believe in a Missouri where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Like many of you, I know that our state is at a crossroads. I’ve spent my career fighting for better healthcare, particularly for women and families, because I believe healthcare is a right—not a privilege. But this campaign isn’t just about healthcare; it’s about creating opportunities for all Missourians, whether you live in our cities, suburbs, or rural areas.

I know that many of you are tired of the political division. You want solutions, not slogans. You want a government that listens to your concerns and works across party lines to get things done. That’s what I’m here to do. I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, and I know that the issues we face aren’t red or blue—they’re about what’s right for our communities.

So let’s talk about healthcare. In Missouri, we’ve seen too many hospitals close, especially in rural areas. This isn’t a partisan issue—it’s a community issue. People shouldn’t have to drive hours to see a doctor or worry about going bankrupt because of a medical emergency. I’m running to make sure we expand healthcare access, protect rural hospitals, and lower the costs of prescription drugs. We need a system that works for everyone, no matter where you live or how much you earn.

I also know that economic security is on everyone’s mind. We need to make sure that our economy creates good-paying jobs and supports our small businesses. That’s why I’m focused on policies that will help create jobs right here in Missouri, whether it’s through investing in infrastructure, supporting local agriculture, or incentivizing small businesses. I believe in building a strong economy that lifts everyone up.

Now, let’s talk about another issue that matters to all of us: education. Every child in Missouri deserves access to quality education. This isn’t just about funding—it’s about making sure our schools have the resources they need to prepare our kids for the future. We need to invest in vocational training, community colleges, and universities to build a workforce ready for the jobs of tomorrow.

I also want to address a topic that’s been divisive, but I believe we can find common ground: women’s healthcare. I know this is a sensitive issue, and I want to approach it with respect and honesty. My goal is to ensure that every woman has access to the healthcare she needs, with privacy and dignity. This is not about politics; it’s about people’s lives. We need policies that support families, protect our rights, and allow us to make personal healthcare decisions without government interference.

Missouri deserves a leader who will stand up for everyone, not just one side of the aisle. I’ve worked in healthcare and public service my entire life, and I know how to bring people together to solve problems. I’m not here to score political points—I’m here to listen, to learn, and to fight for the values that we share.

We all want a Missouri where our children can get a quality education, where our families can afford healthcare, and where our communities can prosper. I’m asking for your support in this campaign because together, we can build a Missouri that works for everyone.

This is our chance to move forward, to focus on what unites us, and to find real solutions that make a difference in people’s lives. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for you. Let’s build a brighter future for Missouri, together.

    Thank you.
