Good evening, St. Louis!

Thank you all for being here today. Your support means more to me than I can ever express, and it gives me the strength to stand before you now and announce something that has been in my heart for a long time.

I am running for the United States Senate!

Now, I know the road ahead won’t be easy. We face challenges—big ones. But Missouri, I believe in us. I believe in our strength, our resilience, and our ability to come together in times of need. I believe in the values that unite us, values that remind us we are all in this fight for a better future, together.

As many of you know, I have spent my career fighting for healthcare—for women, for families, for the most vulnerable among us. I’ve seen firsthand the life-changing difference it makes when women have access to the healthcare they deserve, the care they need. But I’ve also seen the fear. The fear in the eyes of a young woman driving hours across this state because the nearest clinic that will help her is on the verge of being shut down. The fear of mothers, grandmothers, daughters who wonder if their rights will survive another legislative session.

Let me be clear: Those fears are real.

But here’s something else that’s real: our power—the power we have to make change when we stand together. We can protect a woman's right to make decisions about her own body. We can expand healthcare so that every woman, every person, can get the care they need, no matter where they live, how much they make, or what they look like.

For too long, women’s healthcare has been politicized and weaponized. For too long, powerful interests have tried to strip away the rights we fought for decades to secure. I am here to say: No more. Not on my watch.

But this campaign isn’t just about women’s healthcare. It’s about building a Missouri where everyone can thrive. A Missouri where rural hospitals aren’t closing, leaving families stranded. A Missouri where families don’t have to choose between putting food on the table and paying for life-saving medicine. A Missouri where we invest in our schools, our infrastructure, and our workers, so that every child growing up here has a shot at the American dream.

Our state deserves leadership that listens to all of us—not just the wealthy, not just the powerful—but the everyday people who make this state what it is. Leadership that knows what it's like to be in the trenches of healthcare, fighting for dignity and basic human rights. I am that leader.

As I stand before you today, I think about the women who have come before me—my mother, a nurse, who dedicated her life to caring for others. I think about my two daughters, who deserve to grow up in a state where they have the same rights and opportunities as anyone else. I think about the young women across Missouri who are watching this campaign, wondering if someone will stand up for them, if someone will have the courage to say: Enough is enough.

I stand here today to tell you: I will fight for you.

This fight isn’t just personal for me—it’s personal for all of us. Because when a woman’s right to healthcare is under attack, when a family’s access to life-saving services is threatened, we are all under attack.

This campaign is not about one person. It’s about a movement. It’s about bringing people together from every corner of Missouri, from every background, to demand a future where we don’t just survive—we thrive.

We have an opportunity to create lasting change. To build a Missouri that works for all of us. But we can only do it together. So I’m asking you—every one of you—to join me. Knock on doors, make those calls, talk to your neighbors. Let’s show them what Missouri is made of.

Let’s build a future where healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Let’s build a future where women’s rights are protected, where families are supported, and where no one is left behind.
