Samuel W. Madison, a Missouri Representative, held a fundraiser in support of his political efforts and his brother’s campaign for U.S. Senate.
Madison spoke to a group of law enforcement officials, emergency services personnel, local Republican officials and activists, and conservative donors. He promised that he and his brother would continue to stand in support of law and order at the state and federal level.
“We will oppose defunding the police; instead, we’ll invest more in police, firefighters, paramedics and EMTs, and more. We’ll secure y’all they pay you deserve and get you the reinforcements and colleagues you need to get the job done,” he told the crowd. His promises to support law and order also extended to immigration. “Michael is running to fix the border too. As things are now, every state is a border state, and it is absolutely unacceptable. We have crime and drugs flowing freely into communities across our state, and we aren’t prepared for it. It’s nothing like what we’ve seen before. We’re going to secure resources to local communities, and Michael is going to fight hard to stem the flow and solve the root of the problem—our broken, open borders.”
