Thank you so much for being here tonight. It’s an honor to stand before you in Dallas, a city that represents the best of Texas—where diversity, innovation, and the drive to make things better thrive. Tonight, we’re not just gathering for a fundraiser; we’re coming together as a community to push forward a vision for the future of Texas, a vision that reflects the values we share.
We know the challenges we face, and we know that Texas is at a crossroads. For too long, we’ve had leaders in Austin and Washington who do not represent our values or our needs. My opponent, State Legislator Kyle Fitzgerald, has shown us exactly where his priorities lie—with big corporations and exclusionary policies. Last session, he pushed for E-Verify legislation, turning workplaces into places of fear for immigrant families and contributing to the politics of division. This kind of leadership isn’t just wrong for Texas—it’s wrong for America.
But tonight, I want to talk about what we can build together. I’m running for the U.S. Senate because I believe in a Texas that works for all of us. A Texas where healthcare is a right, not a privilege for the few. A Texas where our schools are fully funded, our workers earn a fair wage, and our immigration system reflects our values of compassion and opportunity. This is the Texas that I have fought for throughout my career as a community organizer, and this is the Texas I will continue to fight for as your Senator.
Dallas, you know what it means to embrace progress. This city is a hub of innovation, business, culture, and resilience. It’s a place where communities come together to build something greater than themselves. And it’s cities like Dallas that show us the way forward—not just for Texas, but for the entire country. When we harness the energy and diversity of cities like this one, we create a future that lifts everyone up.
But let’s be honest. To win this fight, we’re going to need every ounce of support, every bit of strength, and yes, every dollar we can raise. My opponent has the backing of corporate donors and political insiders who are determined to keep Texas in the hands of a few. But they are underestimating the power of a people-driven campaign. Our campaign is built on the belief that when people come together, when communities unite, we can overcome even the deepest pockets.
That’s why I’m here tonight. I’m asking you to invest in this vision. Every dollar we raise tonight goes directly into building the grassroots effort we need to reach every corner of this state—from Dallas to Houston, from the Rio Grande Valley to the Panhandle. This race is about organizing at the ground level, about knocking on doors, making phone calls, and connecting with voters who have been overlooked and unheard for far too long.
Dallas, we have an opportunity to make history. We have a chance to send a message that our state is ready for a change—a change that reflects our values of inclusion, fairness, and opportunity for all. When we talk about affordable healthcare, we’re talking about making sure that no Texan has to choose between paying their medical bills and putting food on the table. When we talk about economic justice, we’re talking about good-paying jobs that allow families to thrive, not just survive. And when we talk about immigration reform, we’re talking about honoring the contributions of those who have made Texas their home, building an immigration system that is fair, just, and humane.
But none of this will be possible without you. This campaign isn’t just about me. It’s about all of us—about the communities across Texas that deserve a voice in Washington. It’s about showing that our state is more than the headlines, more than the stereotypes, and more than the politics of fear that have dominated for too long. We are ready for a future that works for everyone, and we are ready to fight for it.
So tonight, I’m asking for your support. I’m asking you to dig deep, to contribute what you can, and to become a part of this movement for change. Because every dollar you give, every hour you volunteer, and every conversation you have helps us build the momentum we need to win this race. We’re not just running to win a Senate seat; we’re running to bring real, lasting change to Texas and to set an example for the entire country.
Let’s show what’s possible when we believe in a future where no one is left behind. Let’s build a Texas where justice, equity, and opportunity are not just words, but realities for every person in every community. Together, we can take this fight all the way to Washington.
Thank you for being here tonight, thank you for your belief in this campaign, and thank you for standing with us. Let’s keep fighting, let’s keep building, and let’s make history together.
Thank you.
