Name and State: Senator Vini Vinachelli, New Jersey Reason: Presidential Leadership and Bipartisan Solutions Target: Center, Left Wing President Allred is demonstrating strong but humble bipartisan leadership and a commitment to represent all Americans. His inaugural address underscores this by inviting Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike to join in our shared cause to defend all Americans and support our allies in advancing the cause of freedom around the world. President Allred is not just talking the talk, he has already met one on one with the new Democratic Leader in the Senate, Senator Rafael Coleman of Colorado, and put forth a number of Democratic and Independent Cabinet nominees in high-profile positions, such as former Democratic Governor Brain Schweitzer of Montana at the Department of Energy, providing a diverse set of viewpoints and perspectives a seat at the most powerful table in the land. President Allred's door is open to all, not just his own party and Minority Leadership, but even hearing the concerns of Main Street voters raised by a Freshman Senator like myself in states that did not vote for the President. He has constructively listened to issues that we have raised and worked collaboratively with us toward solutions that benefit all Americans. I look forward to the future with hopeful optimism and pride under the administration of President Allred and Vice President Van Horn. After years of Americans struggling with partisanship, missteps in our leadership abroad that puts our service members at risk, and rising costs to American families, I am honored to join with them in introducing parts of a legislative agenda that lifts up working families by raising the minimum wage, cutting taxes for middle-class families and small businesses, and putting Americans first. -

Press Office and Public Appearances of Senator Vini Vinachelli (R-NJ)
Senator Vinachelli Introduces Bill to Make Middle-Class Tax Cuts Permanent and Increase SALT Deduction for New Jersey Families Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Vinachelli of New Jersey has introduced new legislation on behalf of President Allred to permanently extend the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provisions for middle-class families and small businesses, while also providing significant relief to New Jersey households by increasing the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction cap to $20,000 for those earning under $400,000. The Permanent Tax Cuts Act is targeted to protect middle-income earners and small business owners from tax hikes, while prioritizing benefits for working families. Senator Vinachelli emphasized the importance of bipartisan support for the bill, stating, “If we do not swiftly take action to extend middle-class tax relief by passing the Permanent Tax Cuts Act now, then all Americans' taxes will go up next year. The Permanent Tax Cuts Act offers relief and fairness to middle-class families and puts us on a pro-growth path that benefits all Americans.” Senator Vinachelli also thanked President Allred and his Administration for hearing the concerns of New Jersey voters and working collaboratively to improve the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to ensure it better served middle class families everywhere: "The President proactively reached out to us in the Mainstreet Caucus and worked with us to ensure that making the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent benefits middle class families wherever they live, including the hardworking people of New Jersey, and I thank him for his collaborative leadership here." Under the proposed legislation, all provisions of the 2017 tax cuts, except for the top income rate, would be extended to ensure stability for American families and businesses. Raising the SALT deduction cap to $20,000 will provide New Jersey taxpayers with increased flexibility, helping to ease the financial pressures of rising living costs families face in high-tax jurisdictions. “New Jersey families and small businesses have long faced some of the highest taxes in the nation, and the current SALT cap has unfairly burdened middle-income earners,” said Senator Vinachelli. “The Permanent Tax Cuts Act will provide real relief by not only extending and making middle-class tax cuts permanent but also increasing the SALT cap for those who need it most, particularly middle class homeowners and small businesses right here in New Jersey.” ###
