Landberger Outlines Vision for Re-Election, Blasts Machine Politics Creep in PA
PITTSBURGH, PA — U.S. Senator Nathan Landberger officially launched his campaign for re-election today in his hometown of Pittsburgh, joined by Florida community organizer Calvin Beningham. Speaking to working-class families, Landberger drew a sharp contrast between his record of public service and the corporate-machine politics creeping into the Democratic primary.
"Pennsylvania families aren’t looking for slick speeches or career politicians looking for a promotion," Landberger said. "They want unshakeable results. From defending reproductive freedom to keeping manufacturing jobs right here in the Steel City, this fight is about who has the grit to deliver."
The campaign kickoff highlighted Landberger’s background as a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot and a federal prosecutor who rooted out public corruption. During the event, Beningham took aim at primary challenger Mark Kelleher, exposing the corporate conflicts of interest surrounding Kelleher's active trading of mining and fast-food stocks while in office.
"You cannot claim to stand with the working class while actively profiting off corporate greed," Beningham told the crowd. "That isn’t progressivism. That is standard, textbook, hypocritical machine politics. Nathan Landberger didn’t learn how to lead in a corporate boardroom. He learned it serving this country."
With the primary election approaching on June 24, Landberger enters the final stretch holding a commanding lead in statewide polling, fueled by heavy momentum among liberal and union-backed voters in both the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia media markets.
