CHICAGO — Grant Legacy Group, the death-care and estate-services empire founded by attorney and entrepreneur Lila Grant, today announced the opening of its newest flagship location in Bronzeville, the storied heart of Black Chicago.

The location places Grant Legacy in a restored graystone landmark in the neighborhood once known as the Black Metropolis—the early-20th-century home of Black-owned banks, newspapers, hospitals, and businesses, and one of the great centers of African-American life, culture, and enterprise in the country.

"Bronzeville built Black-owned banks and businesses when the rest of the city said it couldn't be done," said founder and CEO Lila Grant. "I am not bringing something new to this neighborhood. I am joining a legacy that was here long before me—and I intend to help protect it for the families who carry it forward."

The Bronzeville flagship offers the company's full range of services under one roof: funeral care, probate and estate-planning law, legacy consulting, and Grant Legacy's signature lifestyle brand.

"We do not see an ending. We see a family we intend to walk beside for years," Grant said. "That is what Grant Legacy does, and that is what we will bring to every family who walks through these doors."

The opening continues Grant Legacy Group's national expansion, with flagship locations now operating in cities across the country and community programming to follow in each new market.
