Tampa Bay Storm Establish a New Standard in the DFL

3/24/2026, 2:02:38 AM · Chris Andrews

The Tampa Bay Storm are ready to make their mark.

From day one, this organization has been built with intention, uniting a coaching staff and roster that share a clear and unwavering identity: discipline, accountability, and control.

Led by Head Coach Alonzo Mercer, a proven program builder with a reputation for toughness and structure, the Storm are setting a tone that reflects his philosophy. Offensive Coordinator Callum Wexford brings a modern, precision-driven system designed to dictate tempo and maximize efficiency, while Defensive Coordinator Everett Caldbeck reinforces a physical, assignment-sound approach built to withstand any challenge.

This is not a team chasing flash, this is a team built to win the right way.

At quarterback, Tampa Bay native Christian Andrews steps into a leadership role with confidence and command, supported by the steady presence of running back Trevion Sutter and the reliability of wide receiver Tyler Bannerman. Dynamic playmaker Jamir Cooks adds a game-breaking element to the offense, while Leon Frazier anchors the line with rare upside and relentless work ethic.

Defensively, the Storm are defined by discipline and execution. Calvin Hargrove sets the tone up front with technical precision, while linebacker Darius Temple brings consistency and intelligence to the middle of the field. In the secondary, Ismael Correa provides stability and awareness, joined by Marcus Vance, whose prior experience under Coach Mercer strengthens the foundation of trust and communication within the defense.

Every player on this roster reflects what the Tampa Bay Storm stand for: preparation, resilience, and a commitment to something bigger than themselves.

This team will not beat itself. It will not break. And it will not back down.

The Tampa Bay Storm aren’t just entering the DFL... they’re establishing a standard.

And they’re just getting started.
