HOUSTON, TX — Rev. Dr. Eve Blackwell, pastor of Greater Cornerstone Cathedral and a current member of the Texas State Legislature, today announced her campaign for the United States Senate.

"I've spent my life tending to people the system forgets — in the pulpit, in the pews, and in the legislature," said Blackwell. "Texans deserve a senator who actually reads the bill, knows where the money goes, and remembers who it's supposed to serve. That's the work I've always done, and it's the work I intend to bring to Washington."

Blackwell built her record in the state legislature on the conviction that faith demands justice on the ground — affordable housing, healthcare access, criminal-justice reform, and the dignity of working families. Her campaign will carry that same focus to the federal level, pairing accountability with real investment in the communities that need it most.

The Blackwell campaign will begin organizing across Texas in the coming weeks.
