KEY WEST, FL — Local singer-songwriter Mark Ellis is excited to announce the opening of Lantern Coffee Co., a neighborhood coffee shop built around one simple idea: good coffee and good company.

While Lantern Coffee Co. will serve locally roasted coffee, fresh pastries, and light breakfast fare, its real focus is creating a welcoming place where people can slow down and connect. The shop will regularly host acoustic performances, open mic nights, songwriter circles, poetry readings, and other community events, giving local artists a place to share their work in a relaxed setting.

"As a musician, I've been lucky to meet so many talented people who just needed a room and an audience," Ellis said. "I wanted to create a place where anyone can walk in, whether they're grabbing a cup of coffee, meeting a friend, or working up the courage to play their first song in front of a crowd."

Lantern Coffee Co. is designed to be more than just another café. Comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, and a small performance space make it equally suited for students, remote workers, families, and local creatives.

The shop plans to partner with nearby artists, musicians, and small businesses whenever possible, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the local community.
