HOUSTON, TX — With official results confirmed, Rev. Dr. Eve Blackwell has been elected the next United States Senator from Texas, defeating incumbent Senator Royce Whitman 51 percent to 49 percent and flipping the seat.

Blackwell's campaign centered on a six-point plan on cost of living — spending discipline, domestic production, corporate price transparency, targeted family relief, results-based housing investment, and a public quarterly scorecard. She distinguished the campaign by crediting opponents when they got it right, refusing attack ads, and pointing voters to the public record.

Statement from Senator-elect Eve Blackwell:

"Church... Texas... look what we have done together.

"This was never about fear, and it was never about me. This was a community that shows up for each other — in the food line, on the factory floor, at the kitchen table doing the math at midnight — deciding that silence was no longer good enough.

"I wrote my plan down because relief was never supposed to be a hope. It is work, and today Texas told me to go and do it. Cut the waste. Grow what we produce. Tell the truth about the margins.
