KNOX CARVER ANNOUNCES RELOCATION OF THE ADMIRALS TO CHARLESTON

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Team owner Knox Carver announced today that the Norfolk Admirals will relocate to Charleston, South Carolina, and begin play as the Charleston Admirals starting in Season 6 of the Dominion Football League.

Founded as one of the DFL's original franchises, the Admirals have played a significant role in the league's growth from a four-team Virginia football league into a multi-state professional organization with national ambitions.

"After careful consideration, I believe Charleston offers the best long-term opportunity for our franchise, our players, and our supporters," said Carver. "As the DFL continues to expand beyond its original footprint, it became clear that the Admirals would be better positioned in a market where they can establish a unique identity and build a lasting connection with the community."

Carver thanked the fans, players, coaches, and community leaders in Norfolk for their support throughout the club's first five seasons.

The franchise will retain the Admirals name, history, records, and status as one of the league's founding members. Updated branding, venue information, and community initiatives will be announced prior to the start of Season 6.

"The Admirals' story is far from over," Carver said. "Charleston is a historic city with tremendous pride, energy, and passion. We are excited to bring professional football to the Lowcountry and begin a new chapter for this organization."

The Charleston Admirals will officially debut in Season 6 of the Dominion Football League.
