Governor Mueller (R-TX) to join NexaFuel board after leaving office
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NexaFuel Corp (NYSE: NXF) today announced that Governor Sean Mueller will join its Board of Directors effective February 2, following the conclusion of his term as Governor of Texas.
Governor Mueller brings a distinguished record of public service rooted in discipline, resilience, and a deep understanding of the economic and security priorities of energy-producing states. A native of Lubbock County, Texas, Mueller began his career in law enforcement, serving rural communities with distinction. After sustaining a life-altering injury in the line of duty, he returned to service and became a statewide symbol of perseverance and steady leadership.
Elected Governor in 2021, Mueller’s tenure was defined by pragmatic governance, a focus on public safety, and consistent support for Texas’s energy sector. His administration emphasized infrastructure reliability, workforce stability, and close coordination with industry leaders, while maintaining institutional continuity during a period of national uncertainty.
“Governor Mueller’s experience and judgment will be a strong addition to our Board,” said James R. Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer of NexaFuel Corp. “His leadership style reflects the same long-term perspective, operational discipline, and commitment to safety that guide NexaFuel’s strategy as a global energy company.”
Mueller will serve as an independent director and is expected to contribute to the Board’s oversight of regulatory affairs, safety, and community engagement.
