HARRISBURG, PA — [December 18th] — Nathan Clark Landberger, Democratic candidate for United States Senate, issued the following statement in response to Senator Jim Alton’s announcement that he will not seek reelection:
“Pennsylvania families deserve leaders who put the public first, and today marks a turning point for this Senate race. Senator Alton’s decision to step aside opens the door for fresh leadership grounded in accountability, integrity, and service.
I have spent my life in service—flying missions as a Navy helicopter pilot, prosecuting federal cases, and representing Pennsylvania families in the State Assembly. I know what it takes to lead under pressure and make decisions that earn the public’s trust.
The people of Pennsylvania deserve a Senate that works for families, not insiders. This race is now about ideas, vision, and who will put Pennsylvania first. I am ready to lead that fight and deliver results for every community across the state.”
Landberger’s campaign emphasized that it is now mobilizing to reach voters statewide and build momentum for a competitive, solutions-focused campaign leading into 2026.
