An estimated 521 people filled downtown Versailles for the 21st annual Bluegrass Lantern Art Walk, visiting 74 vendor booths set along the district’s storefronts and sidewalks for an afternoon of paintings, pottery, textiles and handmade crafts.
Participating artist Bianca Whitfield displayed small-format landscape paintings and hand-painted ornaments at her booth, speaking with visitors as families moved between artists’ tables and downtown shops. The event’s steady foot traffic gave vendors repeated opportunities to demonstrate their work and make sales.
Organizers used the walk to showcase local makers while directing visitors through the downtown business district. The turnout marked a strong showing for the long-running community arts event.
