The Denver Summit are set to begin their inaugural DFL season today with a citywide event branded as “Denver’s Day,” followed by the franchise’s first home game at 4 p.m. at The Peak.

According to a team press release, the celebration will start at 11 a.m. with the Summit Parade through downtown Denver. The team said the parade will include players, head coach Scott Harwood, quarterback Evander Holt, local marching bands, drill teams and civic groups.

At 12:30 p.m., the team plans to open The Peak Festival on the stadium grounds. The festival is free and open to the public, the release said, and is scheduled to include local food vendors, Colorado breweries, live music, a children’s area and a Founders banner for fans to sign. The banner is expected to be displayed inside the stadium.

The Peak’s gates will open at 3 p.m. for “The First Ascent,” a pregame ceremony planned to recognize Denver first responders and youth. Kickoff is scheduled one hour later.

The Summit described The Peak as the DFL’s largest stadium and its only Level 2 venue, with a listed capacity of 10,000 fans. The home opener will mark both the team’s league debut season and the first game held at the venue.

Owner Lila Grant said the organization intended the day’s events to be accessible beyond ticket holders.

“Today belongs to Denver,” Grant said in the release. “We didn’t build this team for a luxury box. We built it for the whole city—so whether you have a ticket or you’re cheering from the curb, today is yours.”

Grant is also expected to announce the Summit Community Fund, which the team said will support Denver youth football and school athletics. The release said the organization will reserve a block of season tickets for local youth programs, though it did not provide a funding amount or specify the number of tickets involved.

“A team is only as strong as the city behind it,” Grant said. “Denver showed up for us. We intend to spend this whole season showing up for Denver.”

The event arrives as the DFL’s new season continues, with the Summit seeking to establish a local following through a combination of game-day programming and community-focused initiatives. The team did not release additional details about its opening opponent or the expected attendance for the game.
