Some people sell because they need out.
Knox Carver appears to have sold because there was a very large pile of money waiting on the other side.
Carver unloaded 4,980 shares of HealthGuard for $1,025,631, booking a $400,741 profit in the process.
Do the math and his original investment in those shares was roughly $624,890.
That's about a 64% return on his cost.
And lately, that's worth noticing.
Leonard Cox recently sold 777 shares of Burger Haven for only $4,802 while recording an $80,606 loss. Abby Shaw sold $84,407 of ParcelPro Logistics and took a $91,414 loss.
Then there's Carver, walking away from HealthGuard with more than $400,000 in profit.
We don't know what he plans to do with the proceeds. We also don't know whether selling now will eventually look brilliant or painfully early.
But we know what the scoreboard says today:
$624,890 in. $1,025,631 out.
Sometimes the fine print is complicated.
This time it's just +$400,741.
