The Charlotte Monarchs have unveiled their official team logo during DFL Season 6, introducing a gold crown design intended to complete the franchise’s visual identity following its relocation from Danville.
According to a team press release, the logo features a bold metallic gold crown set against royal purple, the Monarchs’ primary color. The five-point crown is intended to represent strength, ambition and the organization’s connection to Charlotte’s “Queen City” identity.
The team said the crown’s structure also creates a subtle letter “M,” a reference to the Monarchs name. Royal purple and metallic gold will remain the club’s official colors, with black and white used as accent colors.
Owner Gary Hurst said the organization wanted a design closely tied to Charlotte while reflecting its broader ambitions in the DFL.
“Our goal was to create an identity that feels unmistakably Charlotte and reflects the standard we want this organization to represent,” Hurst said in the release. He described the crown as representing pride, discipline and a commitment to building a championship-caliber franchise.
The logo is set to appear on the Monarchs’ uniforms and helmets, as well as merchandise, digital platforms, stadium signage and promotional materials. The team said the mark will make its full game-day debut at its next home contest.
Additional branded merchandise is scheduled to be released during Season 6, according to the announcement.
The unveiling is part of the Charlotte franchise’s ongoing effort to establish its identity in its new market. The Monarchs said they are focused on building a lasting presence in Charlotte as the team continues to develop its fanbase and operations in the city.
