A swimmer rescued from Brazos Bend Crossing in Waco after fast-rising water cut off access to shore remains hospitalized in stable condition, bringing the immediate emergency at the river crossing to a close.

Lifeguard Farrah Delaney and rescue responder Leo Hargrove helped bring the person safely to shore. Responders had cleared the immediate area after the rescue, and no additional rescues were reported.
