R19 LOA Thread
Moving to North Carolina, Asheville specifically, for a few months to assist their Emergency Communications Center. I should be around, but on the off chance that I don't have internet or something and I'm not around that's why. I will be departing tomorrow though so I won't be around then. -

2024 Presidential Election, General Election Rules
2024 General Election Rules First, each campaign must create their own thread in the Elections forum. Each campaign will have 100 APs (activity points) per turn. Your APs will pay for everything from infrastructure to ads to rallies. Each campaign MUST include a budget of their AP distribution at the start of their post. Improper budgeting will lead to a penalty on grading. Unused APs DO NOT carry over from round to round. Maximize each round’s allotment to its fullest. CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES Rallies - Rallies are your main weapon for campaign events 2 APs per location for a candidate excerpt speech. Add 1 additional AP for each additional surrogate excerpt speech. Maximum of 5 surrogate excerpt speeches per round total. You do not need to create new individual content for each rally, but specificity to the location is always a plus. If you send both the POTUS and VPOTUS candidate to the same rally, the cost will be 4 APs but it will get a boost in media attention and impact. (see bottom of rules for example) Advertisements - Your weapon for communicating to the masses beyond one specific region of a state. Great for setting national narratives. Several different means by which you can advertise, we reward creativity. TV Ad - 2 APs x state multiplier Internet/YouTube Ad - 2 APs x state multiplier Radio Ad - 1 AP x state multiplier Newspaper Ad - 1 AP x state multiplier Major Policy Speech - 10 APs. This is a high risk/high reward use of APs. This is a full-length speech, start to finish, unlike the excerpts for rallies. It will get primetime coverage on live news. It will generate headlines. It is your best chance to seize momentum on a narrative or issue so we highly recommend you do it in the first round of campaigning. You must be at your best not only rhetorically, but in terms of policy. Make the policy compelling, details personable, and weave your candidate’s identity in with the policy. Consider the location of your address, the audience you will be speaking in front of, etc. Infrastructure - This time around, infrastructure will be consolidated into one singular expenditure. No more GOTV vs Offices etc. Infrastructure will be one singular payment of APs. Level 1 - 1 AP x state multiplier Level 2 - 2 AP x state multiplier Level 3 - x 3 state multiplier Level 4 - x 4 AP x state multiplier STATE MULTIPLIERS Tier 1 (x1): Wyoming, Vermont, District of Columbia, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Maine, New Hampshire, Hawaii, West Virginia, Idaho, Nebraska, New Mexico, Mississippi, Kansas, Arkansas, Nevada, Puerto Rico, Iowa, Utah, Connecticut, Oklahoma, Oregon, Kentucky, Louisiana Tier 2 (x2): Alabama, South Carolina, Minnesota, Colorado, Wisconsin, Maryland, Missouri, Indiana, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Arizona, Washington, Virginia, New Jersey Tier 3 (x3): Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Illinois Tier 4 (x 4): Pennsylvania, New York, Texas Tier 5 (x5): California EXCERPT SPEECHES (RALLIES) For the general election, instead of full speeches for Rallies, we will be doing excerpts. We are looking for the main thrust, the soundbite portion of your speech that you want voters to be left with. This will hopefully reduce the workload for everyone. Quality over quantity. Maximum of 250 words per excerpt. Example: CAMPAIGN ROUND TEMPLATE
