Press Office and Public Appearances of Senator Vini Vinachelli (R-NJ)
Senator Vinachelli Congratulates New Jersey Candidates on 2026 Elections NEWARK, NJ – U.S. Senator Vini Vinachelli of New Jersey issued the following statement congratulating the candidates who participated in the 2026 elections in New Jersey: ‘Today, I congratulate all the candidates across New Jersey who worked tirelessly to represent the values and priorities of our great state.’ Vinachelli said, ‘I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone who stepped up to serve, regardless of the outcome.’ Senator Vinachelli gave a special note of congratulations to several candidates. One is to Thomas Kean, Jr. who won a strong re-election to the 7th Congressional District. ‘Congressman Kean has long been a leader and a champion for New Jersey, with a proven ability to work across the aisle to deliver for our state as we did with the passage of the Protecting Coasts and Cities from Severe Weather Act earlier this year,’ Vinachelli said. Senator Vinachelli also congratulated Senator Cory Booker on his re-election to the U.S. Senate. ‘I also want to commend my friend, Senator Booker, on his re-election,’ Vinachelli said, ‘While things can often get heated in the midst of the campaign cycle, I appreciate his dedication to public service I look forward to continuing working across the aisle with him to address the challenges facing our state and nation.’ Senator Vinachelli also praised Congressman-elect Billy Prempeh on his hard-fought victory in the 9th Congressional District. ‘Billy ran a dynamic campaign focused on improving opportunities for all New Jerseyans, standing up for working families, and ensuring safe and thriving communities,’ Vinachelli said ‘I look forward to working with him to deliver results for our state.’ The flip marks the third straight election in which the Main Street Partnership, which Senator Vinachelli Chairs, expanded their support in the Garden State. ###
