Target(s):

[Bullet points/brief outline of talking points during appearance.]

Reminder: you will be able to target no more than two of the following targets in a single spin zone and you cannot target different ends of the political spectrum like right wing and left wing. Additionally, you must use these targets, you cannot make up your own at this time.

- National Right Wing (e.g. Breitbart, Fox News Channel)

- National Center (e.g. NPR, The Hill)

- National Left Wing (e.g. MSNBC, The New York Times)

- Local (e.g. your local TV station, statewide news site)

- International (e.g. BBC News, Reuters)

Example:

Name and State: Joe Schmo (D-WA)

Reason: Outlawing Tuna Fishing

Target: Center, Left Wing (you don't necessarily have to use the National word if you are targeting a specific wing)

- Tuna populations, particularly species like bluefin, are critically overfished. Continuing to allow tuna fishing threatens the delicate balance of marine ecosystems, leading to the collapse of ocean food chains that many other species depend on.

- Tuna fishing methods often result in high levels of bycatch, accidentally trapping and killing other marine species, including dolphins, sharks, and sea turtles. Outlawing tuna fishing would help prevent unnecessary harm to these vulnerable species.

- Instead of depleting wild tuna stocks, the U.S. can focus on sustainable fishing practices and alternatives, such as tuna farming in controlled environments. This would preserve natural tuna populations while still supporting seafood industries and consumer demand.

Reason: Pornographic Content Reform Act

Target: Center, Right Wing

- The porn industry for years has been abusing young men and women with when it comes to acting within said industry. For years it has been normalized in order to get a job in that said industry you need to have sex with your boss or your boss's boss or whatever. How is that at all normal, let's call it what it is abuse at the highest levels this law limits that.

- Another issue this industry has done is human trafficking almost a few years ago a porn production company was indicated by the Department of Justice for running a human trafficking scheme that smuggled girls into this country and force them to commit work they did not want to do or withdrew their consent to do. With the E-Verify and mandate of having the actors be licensed allows for more safety and regulations to prevent such abuses.

- The act also serves the public good by making more stagnant consequences for those who reveal photos or videos of people without their consent. I know this deeply as most of the world knows I did things in my much younger years that were leaked online that I hope would stay a secret, instead it didn't and someone tried to punish me for speaking my mind this part of the bill protects men and women who no longer have to be scared of their past in order to speak their mind.

- This is a movement only growing, even though only two states have passed bills that have some part of the idea that I filled in congress it is a movement that is to hold accountable who produce and fund such operations and keeping everyone safe no matter your beliefs a person should feel safe in their work environment, and be free to speak their mind without people exposing what they do.

Reason: Committee Report on the Snowden Pardon
Target: Center, Left

  • The pardon of Edward Snowden was made without consulting experts or following standard processes, raising serious questions about judgment and accountability in decisions that impact our national security. This wasn’t about listening to opposing views or considering all angles. It was a unilateral move that bypassed safeguards designed to protect the American people. When decisions this significant are made without proper input, it risks our safety and erodes trust in leadership.

  • Our intelligence community is at the forefront of protecting America from threats like terrorism and cyberattacks, but this decision disrupted their work and morale. Senior officials testified about widespread dissatisfaction, even near-resignations, at some of our most critical agencies. The President’s choice not to seek their advice didn’t just ignore their expertise, it undermined their ability to do their jobs effectively, which directly impacts our security at home.

  • Diplomacy is one of America’s strongest tools for keeping the world stable and secure, but this pardon rattled our closest allies and gave adversaries an easy win. Our partners in Europe, who rely on us for intelligence sharing, are now questioning our reliability. These relationships aren’t abstract, they’re what keep global threats from reaching our neighborhoods. Ignoring these consequences shows a disregard for the alliances that keep us safe.

  • Transparency is essential for trust in government, but the use of executive privilege to shield key discussions about this pardon sends a troubling message. When leaders refuse to explain decisions that impact national security, it’s the American people who are left in the dark. Accountability isn’t just a buzzword, it’s a cornerstone of democracy, and we should expect better from anyone in the highest office.

  • This isn’t about politics or partisanship, it’s about ensuring our leaders make decisions responsibly and with the input of experts. The pardon may have been the President’s legal right, but that doesn’t make it the right choice for our country. Moving forward, we must demand stronger safeguards and more transparency to ensure that future decisions are made with the seriousness and care they deserve.

•    I don’t know what Democrats expected to find, but whatever it was, they didn’t find it. The report was very clear that there was no foreign interference, and the President acted within his Constitutional role as President in pardoning Edward Snowden.
•    The President issued the pardon because it was the right thing to do, not just for Edward Snowden, but for the United States as a whole. The President has talked repeatedly about the damaging lack of trust in our institutions, and this is a step towards repairing that trust. This is a decision that was praised by people across the political spectrum. How often do you see Bernie Sanders and Earl Duplantis agree on anything?
•    And the praise didn’t just come from back home. The pardon was also praised by the UN Human Rights Commission and Human Rights Watch as being a step in the right direction for the United States. The President has talked time and again about how the United States has a mission to bring peace, prosperity, and freedom to the world. This pardon aligns with that mission, and it aligns with efforts to repeal sanctions, normalize relations and facilitate stability around the globe. Look at how we brought democracy to Venezuela – not with American bombs but with American diplomacy. Look at how we ended the war in Ukraine. Look at how we got North Korea to get rid of their nuclear weapons and open themselves to the world. This is real change happening in real time, and we are not going to let lawfare from the opposition party stop us.

•    If Democrats win the midterms, expect to see more lawfare like this. Forget about whatever other promises they make. This is what they really care about, and this is how they would use a Senate majority. They don’t care about making your life better. Senator Guenther was very clear about that in his press conference. He plans to continue the witch hunt.
•    This is all the Democrats have left. Look at the record. We’ve brought peace and stability to the world. We’ve increased wages from 2.5% to 7.5% on an annual basis with the People First Agenda. They can’t compete with that, nor do they even want to. Like I said, they are not interested in helping Americans. A lot of them are trying to block an energy bill that will lower gas prices.
•    The choice in the midterms is very clear. If you want more lawfare, vote for the Democrats. If you want higher wages, lower gas prices, and world peace, then vote for the Republicans.

•    The People First Agenda has put workers back in control of this country. Wage growth has increased from 2.5% on an annual basis to 7.5% in less than two years.
•    This was not an accident. This is what we campaigned on in 2024. We told the American people we were going to cut taxes, raise wages, get rid of regulations, and protect American workers with E-Verify. We promised, and we delivered.
•    Tipped workers are saving an average of $1,200 a year from no longer paying taxes on tips. The average household is saving in total almost $4,000 a year in tax cuts, credits and rebates from the People First Agenda. These savings generate economic growth that creates jobs for workers – American workers. Not undocumented workers, but people who are authorized to work here. That’s why wages are going up. There’s a demand for labor, American workers are reaping the benefits, and the People First Agenda guarantees them a fair wage.

  • The report does state that the President acted within his Constitutional authority, but that’s not the issue. The question is whether he used that authority responsibly. By bypassing standard processes and expert advice, this pardon set a dangerous precedent. While there’s no evidence of foreign interference, the lack of transparency raises serious concerns about decision-making on matters that directly impact national security and the trust of the American people.
  • The President may believe the pardon was the right thing to do, but the execution of that decision ignored the safeguards in place to ensure sound judgment. Building trust in our institutions doesn’t come from unilateral actions made without consultation, it comes from demonstrating accountability and respect for expert advice. Trust is built when leaders show they are willing to work through the proper channels, even when the decisions are difficult. If the President didn't trust the likes of John Kelly and Nikki Haley with a simple dialogue on the topic, then there is a serious issue somewhere.
  • While some figures praised the pardon, others, including senior intelligence officials and diplomatic leaders, voiced serious concerns about its consequences. Building consensus shouldn’t come at the cost of compromising national security or alienating key allies. It’s one thing to bring diverse voices together, it’s another to make decisions that disrupt critical operations and partnerships.
  • Diplomacy and global leadership are important, but this pardon didn’t strengthen U.S. credibility. It caused disruptions within our intelligence community and strained relationships with our closest allies. This pardon risks undermining the very values the President claims to promote.
  • This isn’t about partisan politics or so-called "lawfare", it’s about accountability. The concerns raised by the committee reflect bipartisan values of transparency and responsible governance. Democrats aren’t questioning the legality of the pardon, what we’re questioning is the judgment and process behind it. President Van Horn didn't even consult the Office of the Pardon Attorney, I mean, these are the basics! Our families may be less safe because the President rushed to judgment, and it isn't just here in the US, but around the globe because instead of taking the time to consult our best and brightest, the President has continued to make unchecked, unilateral decisions. The American people deserve to know that decisions affecting their safety and global standing are made with the care and consideration they warrant. Full stop. The President failed us on that.

  • "The most important responsibility of the Commander in Chief is to protect the American people. And Kyle Van Horn left America more at risk of a major terrorist attack today than before the pardon. He sold out our security, your community, and your children's safety all for the sake of Edward Snowden."
  • "The most damning thing of all in this Select Committee report is that President Van Horn—without consulting anyone—threw our troops and intel officials under the bus. Our soldiers are now in the bullseye and our spies and intelligence assets overseas at risk of compromise because he decided to pardon a damn traitor to America."
  • "Imagine if right after 9/11, someone stole our classified documents and fled to Bin Laden's compound for sanctuary. And then imagine if President Bush pardoned that guy anyway, despite him betraying his country and putting our national security at risk. That's exactly what Van Horn did with Snowden."
  • "This President betrayed not only his fellow Americans. He betrayed his fellow Republicans and earnest conservatives. We now have cabinet officials either being silenced by executive privilege to prevent them from speaking out. Our intelligence community and soldiers are demoralized and contemplating resigning. And our enemies are more emboldened than ever. That's not peace through strength. That's called retreating with your tail between your legs. And I know Republicans deserve better than that from their President."

  • "Every American should be alarmed—not just by the report but the White House's childish and nonchalant response to this scandal of their own making. Let's be clear here: the Office of the Pardon Attorney, the Secretary of State, CIA Director, the Director of National Intelligence, all 17 US intelligence agencies, and our allies were all kept in the dark by this President about his decision to pardon Snowden. He intentionally ignored them because he knew they would give him the honest feedback he didn't want to hear. Van Horn would rather be right in his own self-aggrandizing mind than to do right by the men and women of our military and intelligence corps."
  • "If President Van Horn thought he was restoring trust between the people and their government by pardoning Snowden, he's sadly mistaken. Now, our soldiers and their families no longer trust this President to put their safety first. Americans can't trust him to put their interests before that of a literal traitor to our country. Heck, his own cabinet can't even trust him anymore after he went behind their backs. But guess who can trust Van Horn? Our enemies, that's who!"
  • "What's incredibly telling is their response to this scandal. While half the cabinet and our intelligence community is despondent and on the cusp of quitting, this President and his Chief of Staff are craptweeting nonsense and celebrating. They think their actions have been vindicated. Can you imagine how insulting that must feel for a veteran or a spy working overseas, working 14, 15 hours a day to keep us safe? To watch their President gloating about pardoning a traitor? It's time to censure this President and ensure real accountability for his behavior."

The Select Committee's report has left a dangerous reading of how Kyle Van Horn is exercising executive power and his complete disregard for governing with the advice and support of his cabinet officials. Former Secretary John Kelly - though a person with whom I respectfully differ on many issues - is a true public servant who I applaud for standing up and reminding everyone that we don't vow to the President-in-Office but to our constitution and the democratic principles enshrined in the American way of life."
  • "Congress must - and certainly will - act upon the recommendations of the Select Committee because the office of the presidency will be respected. Democrats will work towards making the OPA an active subject in the whole pardoning process and avoid arbitrary individuals like President Van Horn abusing such authority."
  • "The Select Committee's report concludes that Congress will also have to do extensive damage control within our intelligence community and our allies. Diplomatic efforts and comprehensive reform will have to be achieved fast as we cannot let President Van Horn's administration keep undermining credibility, leaving vulnerabilities that adversaries may exploit."

- "If you chose to pardon someone living in exile in a country that is not friendly to the US, who has intelligence documents on US interests, you should at least ask SOMEONE else in your administration to look over it. He did not ask the pardon attorney. He did not ask his own homeland security secretary. He did not consult the US intelligence community. Our allies told him they had concerns about trust in intelligence sharing because of the pardon. He did not care if this jeopardized national security because he just wanted to score political points. Reason: Van Horn's Pardon, and Trust (or lack there of) in him

Target: National Left Wing and Right Wing

  • The unilateral decision by President VanHorn to pardon Edward Snowden, without consulting his cabinet, Congress, or national security experts, is not only dangerous but shortsighted. This decision undermines trust in the presidency and raises serious questions about his judgment and priorities.
  • Edward Snowden's actions revealed critical government secrets and compromised the security of our nation. A decision of this magnitude, bypassing key advisors and stakeholders, signals a disregard for the advice of those tasked with protecting our country. The pardon sends a chilling message to our intelligence community and allies: the President is willing to make decisions with grave security implications without input from the experts who understand the stakes.
  • Secretary Kelly's resignation in the wake of this decision highlights the deep divisions and lack of trust within the President's own administration. When his closest advisors feel compelled to step down, it signals a profound crisis in leadership. The resignation of a high-ranking official is not just a disagreement; it’s a statement that the President's decision-making process is fundamentally broken.
  • "It is imperative that Congress investigates this decision. Why was it made? Who, if anyone, was consulted? And what were the President's true motives? As representatives of the American people, we in Congress have a responsibility to hold the President accountable and ensure that decisions impacting national security are made with transparency and due process."
  • "This moment is bigger than Edward Snowden or even President Van Horn. It’s about preserving the integrity of our institutions, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring that the American people can trust their leaders to act with wisdom and accountability."

Reason: Van Horn's Pardon Snowden Pardon Fiasco

Target: National Left Wing and Right Wing

  • "The American people deserve to know why President Van Horn made the unprecedented decision to pardon Edward Snowden without consulting his national security team, his cabinet, or even our closest allies. A Congressional report is crucial to uncovering the rationale—or lack thereof—behind this reckless act.Congress must investigate not only the decision itself but also the President’s decision-making process. Was this driven by a genuine belief, outside influence, or something more troubling? We cannot allow these questions to go unanswered."
  • Making such a consequential decision behind the backs of his own national security advisors is foolhardy, stupid, and utterly insane. It shows a complete disregard for the expertise and systems in place to guide such critical matters. By circumventing his advisors and allies, President VanHorn has not only endangered our national security but also our relationships with key international partners. This kind of impulsive, unilateral action erodes trust on every level."
  • When members of the President's own cabinet, like Secretary Kelly, resign in protest, it’s a clear sign of dysfunction at the highest levels of government. If they cannot trust him to involve them in decisions of this magnitude, why should the American people trust him?If President VanHorn refuses to be honest with his own team about his decision-making process and agenda, how can Americans believe a word he says? Leadership requires trust, and this President has shattered it."
  • "Congress has a duty to hold the President accountable for his actions, especially when they defy logic and endanger the American people. This committee's report is not about politics—it’s about protecting our democracy and national security. Without transparency, we cannot address the deeper issues at play in this administration. The American people deserve answers, not secrecy and chaos."
  • "This pardon is a symptom of a larger crisis in leadership under President VanHorn. His decision-making is erratic, his judgment is flawed, and his priorities are misguided. A Congressional investigation is not just needed—it is essential to safeguard the principles of accountability and responsible governance. We cannot afford a President who acts alone, without thought or consultation, on matters that affect the safety and trust of an entire nation. It’s time for Congress to step up and do what this President will not: provide clarity and accountability to the American people."

Democrats, in their blatant desire to attack the President, are now shifting the goalposts from vast conspiracies of Russian involvement to arguing over procedure with bureaucrats. A severely unserious party dedicated to impugning the integrity of a good man at whatever the cost."

This Congress has been one of the more productive in recent memory on critical issues facing Americans because of a supportive President."

  • Today the Senate has passed the Pell Grant Expansion Act. I am very glad that even in this day and age of hyper partisanship we can come together and tackle the college affordability crisis. This bill will go a long way in making sure that every child in America who wants to go to college can afford to go to college. Over the next few years, it will nearly double the Pell Grant to $14k per year and then link the Pell Grant with the consumer price index making sure that the grant will keep pace with inflation so that students are not being left behind because of gridlock in Washington.
  • This bill also undoes the cuts to the Pell Grant eligibility that were done at the height of the Great Recession. American students should be allowed to keep their Pell Grants even if it takes them a few semesters to discover what they want to do. We are asking people who are barely adults to determine their life path for the future. There should not be a loaded gun to their heads forcing them to get it right the first time, otherwise they will not be able to complete their education. In addition, the raised eligibility years makes it easier for students to pursue part time pathways through school to make it easier for students to work to pay for their education instead of having to resort to receiving loans.
  • We all make mistakes and your ability to afford an education should not be denied because an eighteen-year-old struggled the first time around. People who prove that they are capable and willing to finish the job should get the helping hand they need. That is why I made sure that the bill included a provision that would allow people to be eligible again after two years leaving school or by working hard to catch up while remaining in school.
  • I am especially proud that this bill opens up the Pell Grant to Dreamers. They were brought here as children. Not by their own choice but because their parents or guardians wished for them to have a better life. As far as they are concerned, they are Americans. They've grown up here. They have paid taxes here. And a lot of them are working hard. Now at this point why shouldn't we make sure that they have the opportunities that any other American should have?
  • This is not the final solution. We must continue to work on making college affordable for all Americans. I hope that this step goes a long way in easing the burdens for poor Americans who want to get a great education. I want to see public colleges free for All Americans. However, for now while there is not a Democratic controlled congress, I will be pushing for small solutions both to affordability and to the student loan crisis. We must allow Americans to discharge student loans in bankruptcy. We must reform public student loans to have a fair fixed interest rate so that no American is punished simply by the year the happened to be born.

    • A Sudden Burst of Sanity Strikes Congress By Rondal Goldfarb In another whiplash moment that defied expectations, Congress courageously stood up in unity to push back against some of the most egregious policy proposals of the 119th sessions to expand the welfare state.  In a shocking plot twist, the uniparty united against itself in a flurry of final votes in the final death throes of the 119th Congress. After a long session of rocketing through so many socialist bills through Congress at a speed that almost risked warping space time to deliver us into an alternative universe where their dystopian hellscape thrives, Speaker Jeffries and Minority Leader Hern (R-OK) curb stomped the brakes so hard that they actually flipped time back into a world where common sense survives and the free market still reigns, if only for a blissful but serene moment. After months of Democrats campaigning hard on their Soviet housing scheme, the HOUSE Act, and pitching the idea to every exhausted midwest farmer who took a blood oath to vote for them if they would just stop harassing them, Congresscritters united in lockstep to flush their own bill down the toilet and say JK by a vote of 433-0! Back to the drawing board. And thank goodness. The HOUSE Act, sponsored by Senators Storm, Guenther, and our old friend, Commie Kahiona, has a litany of problems with it but now that it has been relegated to the dustbin of history by the sponsors’ own Party, we’ll just cover the topline insanity: The HOUSE Act invests $175 Billion in taxpayer dollars into new public housing projects. Par for the course from The Three Apparatchiks. Public housing is a fundamentally flawed policy that exemplifies the inefficiencies of government intervention in the housing market. By centralizing control over housing production and management, public housing programs often suffer from poor quality construction, inadequate maintenance, and misallocation of resources. These projects frequently fail to meet the actual needs of low-income communities, fostering dependency rather than empowerment. Furthermore, public housing disrupts the natural dynamics of supply and demand, discouraging private investment and innovation in affordable housing solutions and raising costs for everyone else. A better approach would be to reduce regulatory barriers, such as construction mandates and Davis Bacon requirements, to encourage a competitive housing market that organically addresses the diverse needs of individuals while promoting economic mobility and self-reliance. While it is perfectly reasonable to question the Republican leadership’s judgment as well, given their sworn allegiance to the People’s First Agenda, the move somewhat tracks with the sudden reversal from trend in their decision to kill the veto overturn over the Blutarsky Bill. Interestingly though, the Republicans are the only ones that have justified their actions in the House on this issue. Democrats, meanwhile, have been as unified in their silence on the motion as they were in their opposition. Outgoing Senate Majority Leader Duplantis (R-Red Lobster) tried to get Senator Storm to answer for it on the Corporate News Media’s bungled election coverage but was met with the same deafening silence as when Vanessa Taylor herself also asked them questions they did not want to answer. Personally, we do not really need a reason; we just hope this turning over a new leaf for Congress carries over into the next session. But wait. There’s more! After politically posturing from adding modest benefit changes to Medicare all the way through Medicare for All and beyond, House Democrats and Republicans both finally mustered enough courage to unanimously renounce a bill by the DNC Chair herself, Senator O’Hare (D-HI), to provide coverage for dental, vision, and hearing services under Medicare. Nevermind that the program has less than 10 years left to live even before considering the additional costs of the proposed expanded benefits. For reasons that remain unknown to all, (even staffers could be seen literally aghast from camera #4 on C-SPAN 2,) House Democrats under Speaker Jeffries finally heard the call of their fallen comrade, President Biden, and beat Medicare. Or saved it, from our perspective. At least for now. We really are not in Kansas anymore. This phenomenon is basically unprecedented in House history. Why did the leadership of a party that campaigned so heavily on housing and health issues suddenly bring up their own bills in the final weeks of Congress only to self-immolate them on the floor like a teething toddler in a tantrum? The world may never know.  But for the rest of us watching at home, your entitlements will endure a little longer, and we are not all being rounded into taxpayer-sponsored Soviet style tenements against our will just yet. At least until January. Until then, you can check out any time you like, but only if you continue to: #ChooseFreedom
    • Treasury Secretary Levi Koenig Approves New Opportunity Zones in New Jersey, Calls for Nationwide Participation by Jean Luke Perry Secretary of the Treasury Levi Koenig has announced the approval of a request to designate New Jersey’s Urban Enterprise Zones as federal Opportunity Zones at the request of Senator Vini Vinachelli (R-NJ), marking a significant expansion of the program aimed at driving economic revitalization in distressed communities. The move comes as part of the Innovation Growth Amendment under the Permanent Tax Cuts Act, championed by Senators Levi Koenig (R-FL), Osiris Storm (D-NY), Charlotte O’Hare (D-HI), and led by the Van Horn administration. The initiative will bring a new round of 5,000 Opportunity Zones to economically struggling areas, including those within New Jersey’s UEZs. Secretary Koenig hailed the decision as a “strategic alignment of federal and state resources to unlock unprecedented investment and growth.” “New Jersey’s Urban Enterprise Zones have been a proven success in fostering economic development, and expanding the Opportunity Zone program to these areas will enhance their impact,” Koenig said in a press conference. “I encourage states across the country to submit their proposals for the next round of designations so we can continue driving transformative change in underserved communities.” New Jersey’s UEZs, which have historically faced high unemployment and limited access to capital, will now benefit from the tax incentives and investment opportunities provided by the OZ framework. This dual-front strategy leverages federal and state initiatives to attract private-sector investment, support infrastructure projects, and stimulate business development. The Treasury Department also confirmed that existing Opportunity Zones expiring in December 2026 would be eligible for re-designation under the new legislation, granting an additional five years of benefits to previously designated areas. This renewal option aims to ensure sustained growth in areas where OZs have shown measurable success. Governor Jack Ciattarelli of New Jersey added, “This designation positions our state as a leader in economic revitalization. We’re committed to ensuring these new Opportunity Zones create equitable and sustainable opportunities for residents and businesses.” The Treasury Department has invited all states to submit proposals for the expanded Opportunity Zone program, emphasizing the importance of targeting areas with significant economic challenges. Secretary Koenig assured that the application process would prioritize transparency and collaboration with local governments and community stakeholders. As the next round of Opportunity Zone designations begins, the federal government is optimistic that the expanded program will continue driving private investment into areas most in need, fulfilling its mission to foster economic opportunity and build stronger, more resilient communities.
