(c) Nuclear Energy Expansion. (1) Federal grants of $500 million $2 billion annually shall fund the development of small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) through public-private partnerships. (2) The Nuclear Regulatory Commission shall establish a fast-track approval process, reducing approval timelines by 50% without compromising safety standards. Senators will have 24 hours to vote on the amendment. A simple majority is required for passage.
