TRUMAN ADDRESSES KING OF PRUSSIA MALL MASSACRE PHILADELPHIA, PA — Today, Senator Truman Sizemore joined the community of Philadelphia in mourning following the tragic shooting that claimed 36 lives, including 13 children, and wounded 85 others. The attack, which occurred in the King of Prussia Mall, is slated to be the third deadliest mass shooting in American history. Reports indicate the couple that perpetrated the attack, who were killed during the incident, had intentionally targeted children and their parents specifically, having attacked a Toys R Us in the midst of the rampage. "We're looking at two lone wolf gunmen that came in with delusions in their head and a will to kill," said Truman in a phone call with reporters. "It was a sickening evil display where we saw mothers and children in particular being targeted." In the moments that followed the attack, Senator Sizemore was on the phone with Governor Josh Shapiro receiving a briefing on the situation, and met with local law enforcement and city officials upon landing in Philadelphia. At a local vigil, he called for "a moment of healing", and praised the community for coming together during its "darkest hour". The Senator also expressed thanks to the Coleman for America campaign, who has since offered support in constituent services as calls pour in from those expressing their support and grief and those demanding accountability. "I want you to know from the bottom of my heart we hear your pain," said Truman in a statement on social media. "And we hear your demand for solutions." Following a brief prayer with the congregation at Saint Augustine Church, Senator Sizemore traveled to Philadelphia Police Department Headquarters were he took to the steps to address members of the community.
