    Daniel "Dan" Martinez, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, grew up in a working-class family that owned a small grocery store in the heart of the city. From an early age, he learned the importance of hard work and community, which led him to pursue a degree in economics at the University of New Mexico. After graduation, he became involved in local politics, serving two terms on the Albuquerque City Council. During his tenure, he focused on economic policies that supported small businesses and worked tirelessly to improve the city's infrastructure.

    After leaving the council, Dan started his own small business, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges that local entrepreneurs face. His pragmatic and balanced approach to both business and governance has earned him a reputation as a strategic thinker who gets things done. Now, as the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, Dan is committed to championing policies that foster economic growth, support small businesses, and address income inequality in New Mexico. A family man at heart, he is deeply invested in the prosperity of his community and works to ensure that every New Mexican has the opportunity to succeed.
