President Issues Pardons, Reassigns Jack Smith
The White House For Immediate Release Washington, DC – President Kyle Van Horn announced the pardons of thousands of individuals implicated in events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 and the reassignment of Special Prosecutor Jack Smith. “Today I made the decision to pardon certain individuals implicated in events that occurred at the U.S Capitol on January 6, 2021. These individuals – numbering more than 2,000 – were charged only with misdemeanors such as trespassing, disorderly conduct, or property destruction. Those convicted have overwhelmingly only faced short jail sentences, suspended sentences, or probation. In addition to these pardons, the Department of Justice will drop all pending charges and investigations into those suspected of similar crimes. “Furthermore, I have decided to close the Special Counsel investigation into the 2020 Presidential Election. Because of the death of President Trump, I have determined that an investigation is no longer necessary. I thank Jack Smith and his staff for their services to the country, and they are in the process of being reassigned to other roles within the Department of Justice. “For those implicated in serious offenses such as violent, conspiratorial, or other felonious conduct, they will not be pardoned and investigations into their crimes will continue. This is a much smaller number of people, and they must be held accountable for what they did. Violence is never a solution to political conflict. “It’s been almost five years since the day these events occurred. Since that time, this issue has only served to distract and divide the American people. Justice cannot be realized and lessons will not be learned without forgiveness and healing. Four and a half years for the specific crimes that will be pardoned is long enough.” -

Name and State: Jackie Swanner (White House Comms) Reason: E-Verify Executive Order Target: National Right Wing, National Center • The legislative branch creates the laws, the judicial branch interprets them, and the executive branch enforces them. The Immigration and Nationality Act states very clearly that the President has an obligation to properly enforce it and gives him broad authorization to do so. • This is a policy that President Allred and President Van Horn both campaigned heavily on last year. It’s a policy supported by 70% of Americans. Because Democrats would not allow it to be included in the Higher Wages Act, the President had to issue an Executive Order. • E-Verify is our most proven tool to end the border crisis and protect American workers. The number of illegal immigrants fell by almost 40 percent when a state had a universal E-Verify law in effect, including as much as a 50 percent reduction in a single year. • E-Verify is easy to use. There are already over a million employers registered on the platform and roughly 1,500 new participating companies every week. E-Verify is one of the federal government’s highest-rated services for user satisfaction. All you need to do is input an employee’s Form I-9 information into the web-based system, which typically takes minutes to complete. • This Executive Order is another component of the President’s People First Agenda, which includes a “Buy American Hire American” mentality. American jobs must go to American workers, and businesses that break the law cannot gain an advantage in the marketplace over businesses that obey the law. These principles are non-negotiable, and they will always be enforced by this administration.
