Final Polls Before Election Day Show Republicans Surging in Missouri and Texas
With only a few days to go until Election Day, here are the latest polls from the 3 races we're watching around the country:
The race for the next Senator from Missouri has Madison further extending his lead.
Madison | 63% |
Brooks | 36% |
In Texas, Kyle Fitzgerald has managed to drive down moderate support of his Democratic opponent. This, combined with a high-profile endorsement and ads from rock star Mud Abercrombie, has allowed him to put a little more distance between himself and his opponent in this too-close-for-comfort race.
Fitzgerald | 53% |
Hernandez | 47% |
Finally, the race for the next Governor of Virginia appears to have tightened up even further as the Republican Rosa Brennan is facing a fierce challenge from tech investor Jason Patel. Each party has just under a million in the warchest, so the deciding factor in this election could come down to who can bring in the most national support.
Brennan | 50% |
Patel | 50% |
Meanwhile, in the other Senate races that aren't competitive, we are looking at 7 Republicans and 8 Democrats being elected this year. While we still have 2 more election cycles to go before reaching a full Senate, the winners of the competitive elections in this cycle will go a long way towards determining what party holds a majority in the Senate.
